This unit is similar in footprint and operation to the D-06 Compact, however, it is specifically designed for the larger and faster Web Offset presses. Because Web offset printing is used for high-volume publications such as mass-market books, magazines, newspapers, catalogs and brochures, the speed of the press can range from 5 to 50 ft per second, and the paper quality being used for each specific job can vary dramatically, the surface area of the media needed to manage such volume of contamination is significantly increased in the FloClear® D-07 from the standard FloClear® Full Size model.

That being said, the FloClear® D-07 has been successfully installed and operational on the largest and fastest web offset presses such that our customers have been able to achieve longer times between blanket/roller wash-ups (once every two splices rather than each splice), extended blanket life (piling is significantly reduced due to removal of virtually all fountain solution contaminants), consistency in print, and minimized paper waste and chemistry usage.

The cost of a web press being down is extremely expensive.
