Why FloClear?
During operation, ink, paper fiber and other contaminants build up in your fountain solution. These contaminants negatively impact print quality. Additionally, as the fountain solution degrades, water adjustments are required and eventually the fountain solution becomes so contaminated that it needs to be replaced.
Have you noticed when you have freshly mixed fountain solution on Monday morning that everything runs great? The fresh, clean fountain solution can more efficiently carry away the contaminants from the press. The cleaner the fountain solution the cleaner the dampening system and the cleaner the blankets and plates.
How it Works
The FloClear® constantly recirculates the fountain solution through a unique, multi-stage filtration system that separates all of the contaminants out of the fountain solution while leaving the critical ingredients in. All particulate matter including colloidal and sub-colloidal are removed. This unique process can virtually eliminate fountain solution dumps and extend the life of the fountain solution to as much as six months or more.
FloClear's technology was recently recognized by the U.S. Patent Trademark Office when they awarded FloClear, LLC three patents 6,980,558 – 7,087,159 – 7,112,282. These patents, combined with the GATF Intertech Technology Award already presented to FloClear in 2004, solidify FloClear’s leading position in fountain solution recirculation.
